The city of Prince Albert, ranked amongst the "Ten Best Places to Live in Canada" by Chatelaine Magazine, is the third largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. As among the oldest communities within the province, the city is known as the "Gateway to the North" since it is the final stop along the route to the resources of northern Saskatchewan. The city celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2004.

The fine arts and cultural community has a lot of support from the city of Prince Albert, who have provided many events and opportunities so as to help local artists pursue their passions. The numerous events and venues in the city of Prince Albert include: the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, Art Gallery of Prince Albert, John G. and Olive Diefenbaker Theatre, The Prince Albert Arts Centre, John V. Hicks Gallery, and various museums. The E.A Rawlinson Centre for the Arts features the John G. and Olive Diefenbaker Theatre and the Art Gallery of Prince Albert. It also features local talent along with the arts and entertainment from around the globe. The Art Gallery of Prince Albert's mission is to be able to engage and facilitate the presentation, preservation and development of the visual arts in a diverse and inclusive community. Named in honour of the donation of the Diefenbaker Trust Fund to the E.A Rawlinson Centre operating budget, the John G. and Olive Diefenbaker Theatre showcases a fly tower, over 600 padded seats, a lobby providing both a picturesque view of downtown Prince Albert and a bar, and an air-conditioned performance space and seating area. The Prince Albert Arts Centre promotes instructional programs for children and adults including photography, university accredit instruction, clay/pottery, children's painting First Nations cultural art, weaving, and adult mixed media. The John V. Hicks Gallery features regional and local art. It even has craft exhibitions year-round.

Working together with the Saskatchewan Transportation Company, the Prince Albert Transit provides bus services throughout Saskatchewan. The Carlton Trail Railroad offers rail services, whilst the Prince Albert's Airport offers air services.

The geography of the city of Prince Albert is diverse and rich, and the city of Prince Albert has benefited in its service centre, mining, tourism, retail, agriculture, forestry sectors.
