The Utility Arborist Program is designed to teach a student how to prune or clear vegetation in proximity to energized electrical equipment, structures and conductors. A student can generally complete the Utility Arborist Program within 2 years. Approx. 6 weeks of the program will be held in a classroom environment.
After graduation, the Utility Arborist will have working knowledge of powerlines, heavy equipment, arboriculture, and be capable with ropes, knots, and climbing.
