The Planermill Maintenance Technician Program is designed to teach a student how to plan and carry out the complete overhaul of and all major repairs to planers and planermill equipment and is responsible for maintaining an inventory of replacement parts and the quality of all planermill productions.
The Planermill Maintenance Technician Program will generally take a student 1 year to complete. Approx. 6 weeks of the program is designated for in-class instruction. After graduation, the Planermill Maintenance Technician will be expected to understand level 3 hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and be well versed in the functionality of all planermill equipment.
