Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships

Scholarship Value: $10,000

Awards Available: 5

Award Deadline: Nov 5, 2025

Since 2007, the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship has honored 91 national scholars and 252 Emerging Leaders, awarding more than $1.2 million in youth scholarships and grants. Students are honored for making a significant impact against hunger by raising awareness and mobilizing solutions to eliminate childhood hunger. The scholarship is named for the Foundation’s founder and former president, who himself was an unstoppable champion in the fight to end hunger.

The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship recognizes students, ages 5 to 25, who are tackling hunger in their communities. Applicants should demonstrate creativity, leadership and impact in fighting food insecurity. National scholars receive a $10,000 academic scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-relief charity. They also attend the Sodexo Charity Classic, where they have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders who support the Stop Hunger mission. The annual application period runs from September 5 to November 5.
