The Edmonton Latvian Society: "IMANTA" Entrance Scholarships

Award Deadline: August 30, 2012
Available to International students from Latvia or Canadian students of Latvian heritage entering any two-year program on a full-time basis at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to enter into their chosen program. The value of each scholarship will be $5,000 for International students and $2,500 for students who are Canadian citizens. Applicants are asked to submit a typed 700 word essay outlining why they are worthy of the scholarship and describing the importance and value of their Latvian heritage in their lives. The first half of the scholarship will be disbursed in October and the second half will be disbursed in January, based on the recipient continuing into the second semester.
