Public works and maintenance labourers perform some or all of the following duties:

A. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment

B. Collect money from coin boxes of parking meters along established route

C. Collect and load refuse on garbage trucks

D. Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks

E. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment

F. Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters, plumbers and mechanics

G. May operate mobile sidewalk-cleaning equipment.
